CLIA UK & IRELAND TO HOST CHARITY FUN RUN ON THE EVE OF CLIA CONFERENCE 2019
CLIA UK & Ireland will be hosting a charity fun run in Southampton on 14 May 2019, the day before the annual flagship conference, to raise money for the Family Holiday Association.

The fun run is open to all and participants can choose to run either 5k or 10k, with a pick-up time of 5pm from a central Southampton location. There is a minimum donation of £10 required to take part, with all proceeds going to the charity.

In 2017 CLIA UK & Ireland partnered with Family Holiday Association, a non-profit organisation who has provided breaks for UK families with issues such as disability, severe and sudden illness, bereavement, mental health issues and domestic violence for over 40 years.

CLIA CONFERENCE 2019
wednesday 15 - friday 17 may 2019

The three-day flagship event, the largest travel agent event in the UK, will include a trade fair, a full day of conference sessions and gala dinner including entertainment. Plus, delegates will have the chance to visit to visit two of the three ships in port for the event: Celebrity Edge which launches in Miami in December this year, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and MSC Preziosa.

This year’s Conference is dedicated to the #NextGeneration of cruising. From dining and entertainment, to new onboard technology and shoreside experiences, #NextGeneration looks at how guests’ cruise holiday experiences will change as we know it, both ashore and onboard. The theme also recognises the CLIA travel agent partners and the dedication they put into helping the cruise industry grow.

CLIA UK & IRELAND TO HOST CRUISE SHOWCASE IN DUBLIN - friday 26 july 2019

CLIA has today announced that it will host a Dublin cruise showcase on 26 July. Taking place onboard Azamara Club Cruises’ Azamara Journey in the Port of Dublin, the cruise showcase is open to all Irish travel agents, including non-CLIA members.

As well as a tour of Azamara Journey, including lunch onboard, the cruise showcase will offer invaluable, expert CLIA advice on latest trends, cruise experiences and sales opportunity. This will be combined with the opportunity to meet with other cruise operators as well as Azamara Club Cruises, so travel agents can learn about each line’s unique selling points and latest products

Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: “The Dublin cruise showcase is the first of a series of CLIA events to be held in Ireland, bringing together the Irish travel community to help spread the word about the fantastic experiences a cruise holiday has to offer.

LUXURY & EXPEDITION SHOWCASES - 8TH, 9TH & 10TH OCTOBER 2019

Taking place across three nights in October, CLIA will host the Luxury and Expedition Cruise Showcase on the 8th in Belfast, 9th in Manchester and 10th in Norwich.

Travel agents will have the chance to meet luxury and expedition cruise lines face-to-face in the first part of the evening. New for this year, the showcase will also include a panel discussion, giving agents the opportunity to hear and learn from industry experts
